Taylor’s Guide On What To Do At A Difficult Time
A death at any time is stressful and emotional. Taylor’s are experienced at dealing with family members of a deceased loved one in this situation and are there every step of the way to help you through a difficult period and process.
Collection of A Loved One
We are available 24 hours a day to collect the deceased to prepare for the funeral. Please call us on 01564 635271 any time and we will guide you through the process.
Deaths at Home / Nursing Home / Care Home
We will arrange for your loved one to be collected and moved to our funeral home. We have discrete transport which will guarantee a safe and dignified journey for your loved one, regardless of where the death has occurred or the circumstances surrounding it.
When we arrive, we will discuss with you the practicalities of moving your loved one and will answer any questions you may have. We will also explain the process of registering the death.
Deaths in Hospital
In most circumstances the hospital will require the production of the green certificate issued by the registrar before we are able to collect your loved one.
If you wish your loved one to be cremated, it is possible that we may have to wait until further documentation is completed before we can move them.
Regardless of the circumstances, we will liaise with the bereavement office in the hospital on your behalf to ensure they are in our care as soon as possible. See also information about Death in Hospital
